The Kirkgöz Han is an old Seljuk caravansary about 35 km from the old town of Antalya. The Han was completely renovated and repaired in 2008. Unfortunately, it is no longer accessible to strangers. The inside can only be guessed through the Plexiglas-clad entrance gate. |

According to a six-line inscription above the entrance portal, Han was built in the years 1237 - 1246 under Sultan Giyaseddin Keyhüsrev II, facing exactly north. Its size is 33 x 52 meters. The layout of this caravanserai, the third Giyaseddin, resembles Evdir Han, which his cousin, Sultan Izzeddin Keykavus I, built in the years 1215 - 1219, but shows a significant difference. |
